  1. All money should go towards public health, especially when the NHS is financially struggling. No excuse for anything else – it is a health service.

  2. Worked in NHS for over 25 years.

This is a waste of money tbh

There’s been plenty help, job relocations etc for people who’ve transitioned (first one I saw was 20 years ago.

There’s plenty of gay workers, plenty of neurodivergent etc.

Modifications are provided for all of these people.

  3. 14 years in to a Conservative government to finally do something conservative. Sad!

  4. Surely the NHS has more pressing priorities than this in the current climate?

  5. Good. There’s so much expenditure on things that have very little to do with healthcare in the NHS as is. Stop wasting already limited funds on this type of nonsense.

  6. Oh well, you don’t need to spend millions of pounds on badges and other tat to be an inclusive employer. Just don’t be a shit boss.

  7. More culture war bullshit from the Tories. I’m sure they’ll be trying to justify this as cost saving, but anyone who believes any money saved by this will go to front line care needs their head examined – shame they won’t be able to get an appointment.

  8. Going to buck the trend of the current comments and say that a huge employer scrapping a charity-partnered department aiming to ensure diversity and inclusion policies are implemented for staff and patients is uh *bad* actually.

  9. I mean it’s a public service they shouldn’t have anything on them, much like other public services aren’t meant to either.

If you do you can offend or discriminate other people, hell they banned the police form wearing a poppy didn’t they? That’s insane but we live in a very strange world.
