Papst Franziskus: Ich segne keine „homosexuelle Ehe“. Ich segne zwei Menschen, die sich lieben.

  1. God will suddenly change his mind about gay marriage the moment the church stands to earn one dollar more in revenue.  It’s one of the great mysteries.

  2. Our marriages are still invalid, but at least we get a blessing. How generous of this current Pope! (/s)

  3. So a repurposed “hate the sin love the sinner.” We’ve heard that all our lives, and you know what it’s not good enough. We love who we want, and we spend our lives together like anyone else. I’m so glad I live in Canada. Married to my wife legally and without any church involved. Fuck the pope.

  4. I’m not interested in hearing from a leader who (like his predecessors going back 100 years) is still incapable of dealing responsibly with pedophile priests.

  5. I love how there are Christians right now that are convinced Satan is executing his plan to perfection.

  6. Why does anyone care? How can anyone believe in a god (small g) or religion that doesn’t believe in them. It’s a cult, just a bigger more established one, with indoctrination from birth.

You can get married in most countries now without a blessing from the local sky fairy.

  7. I don’t appreciate the church or its members. I appreciate people who care about ethics and have principles.

  8. The catholic church is nothing if not conservative.

But an organization doesn’t last two millennia if it couldn’t recognize change and adapt…

  9. Least homophobic catholic. He isn’t bad for someone in a homophobic cult

  10. Millions of people the world over think this organization is a great moral example.

  11. The Catholic Church is one of the world’s largest and oldest functioning bureaucracies.

They’re going to recognize gay marriage. It might take them 100 years to get through the bureaucratic nonsense but it’s going to eventually happen.

Hell I wouldn’t be surprised if they even had a gay saint 100 years from now.

  12. Who cares who this old fuck “blesses.” He doesn’t have super powers, and he doesn’t know god. Power tripping patriarchy. Go lie down.

  13. He is a good pope. There is no way to deny that peoolenof the bible would hate homosexuality. Especially marriage

Yet does the mental gymnastics and finds a way to bless a couple.

  14. Just remember the church is NEVER gonna change their doctrine that marriage is between a man and woman for the purpose of procreation. If they did it would be bigger than Vatican II.

  15. From what I can make out, this is the Pope trying to be careful in his words. He has made a lot of efforts to bring the church into the 21st century and recognizes that some things need to change. He may well support gay marriage, but he can’t say that out loud because it will piss off a lot of priests and congregations in Africa and (probably) the U.S.

  16. Well to be fair, Jesus didn’t say anything about gay people in his messages. He said love one another is the message. Do no one evil for evil. Feed the poor and don’t judge people as only the father can judge. He reminded us that we all fall short of the standards of god. The only way to heaven is through forgiveness and it’s a free gift. Ok right wing Christians how do you justify so much judgement and hate in your message?

  17. “I bless two people who love each other…”

So if both are same sex and married to one another then Yes Mr pope you have blessed a homosexual marriage.

The state of this guy trying to find work arounds. Hilarious to behold and insulting to everyone.

Either bless gay marriage or don’t, enough of this political correct bs

  18. Do you also call out pedos and sexual abuse from clergy ?
