  15. The problem I think is that the southern European states were the most prosperous in Europe back then with Italy and Greece. And places like Scandinavia, Germanics and the British Isles were backwater (I don’t know what the situation was in France).

    The situation is the exact opposite right now with the British, french and northern Europe being the most prosperous areas of Europe and the German barbarians are now the premier European state (at least in terms of GDP).

    I think if you guys want a European federation, the best way to get it would be first Germany, France and Italy forming a federation and then this new federation will slowly accept the other smaller countries into it.

    Just this new federation with 3 countries will have a GDP of ~10 trillion, will already have a UNSC permanent seat(because of France) and have a military expenditure of ~$145 billion(putting it in the third place).
