It’s easy to see why the Irish names that caught on did. A lot of the more unusual ones aren’t particularly pleasant to the ear.

I’m no expert but the use of the fada here is… unconventional?
Hmmmm…..references without references. This is a load of bollox. History in Ireland wasn’t even really written down until well into Christian period (like well into it – 800-900 AD at least). So, any date before then is speculative to say the least,
