The Tories have always sold themselves as being the fiscally responsible party so it’s about time they got exposed as incompetent and corrupt.
Lets hope Labour will go through every government department with the same scrutiny
The comparative detail in this is welcome, e.g:
>None of its 36 major projects are rated ‘green’ –
meaning that the project is on time and in budget
– which makes it the worst performing department
in Whitehall, with the lowest proportion of projects
rated green.
I’m glad they’re not just picking MoD as an easy target for their base and failing to compare it to other departments, if it’s the worst for this, then hopefully the wastage can be tightened up (as opposed to just cutting defence spending further).
You only have to look at Colchester barracks to see how badly the MOD do things.
As always, I’d be looking at the civil servants who actually run the MoD procurement. Ministers have naff all actual power
Am not sure about that, but 37 billion on track and trace maybe 🤔

Here’s the full dossier. Impressive detail; let’s hope all this research doesn’t go to waste.
