  1. So what’s the story, just that she paid someone for “secretarial services” (w/e the fuck that entails).
Did they not carry out the service, was it money laundering, what was the issue apart from person paid for job?

  2. So she was paying his company for secretarial services before he was ever charged with theft. There is no indication McEntee knew of the investigation into his theft or continued to use his company after being charged.

More world class journalism from The Ditch.

  3. Fine Gael working with FG man charged for theft – pffft! That’s normal for FG, non-story!^(/s)

  4. Don’t miss tomorrow’s exclusive story:

Leo Varadkar found using toilet. Putin also uses toilet. Coincidence?

  5. 5 posts, 4 of them stating this is a non story.

    Ye doth protest too much.

  6. People are stupid.

If you feel you have invested too much into your political party to see their wrongdoings you are encouraging corruption.

Every week there is something shifty with the powers that be, yet you slag the fella reporting it.

Ask yourself do you want your party in charge or do you want to end corruption. If the answer is the party you are nuts

  7. Appalling timing for The Ditch to post this amidst the solemn mourning of Meath FG, as they in their grief ready themselves for the regal farewell of a veritable Monarch of the Royal County.

    Despicable, disrespectful, dishonorable.

  8. This is low on her list of things she’s done horribly bad.

  9. > €29,000 in state funds for secretarial services.

    I hate paying taxes.

  10. >McEntee declined to comment when asked when she stopped using McKiernan’s services and when she became aware that he was under investigation for theft.

There doesn’t appear to be a reason for her to not release this information, other than if the answer wouldn’t look good for her…

This lad seems to have been in tight with Fine Gael given the photos of him canvassing with McEntee and Humphreys, that’s how that conclusion is arrived at isn’t it? If someone has a photo with a prominent TD of a party? Also the fact 3 FG ministers have used their publicly funded allowance to pay him for work.

Also notable that he worked for Damien English who:

    >In January 2023, news website The Ditch published a story claiming English failed to declare ownership of an existing home in his planning application for a new property in 2008. It also claimed he neglected to declare such ownership in the Dáil register of interests.[8][9] He resigned as Minister of State on 12 January 2023.[10][11]

Looks like “The Party Of Law And Order” sure do you have a hard time following the law ay? And there seems to be a crossover between those that don’t follow rules and/or the law in Fine Gael.

Although, what else would you expect from a party that’s led by someone that openly admitted to breaking the State Secrets Act as Taoiseach and got away with it?

  11. The Ditch have run out of bullets to fire at Fine Gael and are just lobbing half-eaten burgers at this point.

  12. Well she was hardly gonna give it to FF/SF/PBP/Greens!

She knows what side her bread is buttered!

  13. Look we know she is a ##@~ , lets just move on pretend she does not exist!

  14. FGers working hard to try and downplay this

If it’s really a non-story she should have no problem coming out and describing the kind of secretarial services that warrant €13k for 2 months, Presumably it wasn’t full time work.?
