‘I smell a rat,’ says Dem Gov. Pritzker of special counsel report on Biden

  1. Pritzker has been pretty damn good as a governor. Yes he’s a billionaire. Yes he’s done some pretty damn shady things in his personal life to avoid paying taxes and other weird advantageous loopholes. But as a governor, gotta give credit where credit due. He’s stood up and done the right thing on more than one occasion.

  2. C’mon Pritzker and Newsom, show us the money.

Get out of your states and let America sleep well at night.

  3. >“It was extremely unfair for a Trump appointee, originally to the Department of Justice, to offer his own opinions about the mental acuity or age of the president of the United States,” Pritzker said in Illinois at an unrelated news conference.

While true, Garland knew exactly who Hur was when he appointed him to investigate Biden, and had to know this would happen. He even gave a speech at the appointment about his tenure. Why is the argument “that Trumper should have been nicer” as opposed to “why did Merrick Garland put a Trumper in charge of this investigation?”

Biden got shanked by his own AG, which is more crazy than the political world is willing to admit yet.

  4. Special counsel Robert Hur is a Republican, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he did this to fuck with Biden’s reelection chances.

You know, like what Comey did with Clinton’s emails.

  5. > I smell a rat,” Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, a surrogate for President Joe Biden’s reelection, told reporters when asked about the Hur report.

Holy crap. “A surrogate for President Joe Biden’s reelection”? Way to let your reporting bias fly there.

Let’s be clear. Robert Hur clerked for William Rhenquist, served under William Barr as a contributer to the “summary” of the Mueller report, and was appointed a USDA for Maryland under DJT.

His assertions about Biden being elderly, sympathetic, and having poor memory are ALL outside the bounds of the DOJ handbook guidelines; in other words, they are expressly forbidden as basis for making decisions whether or not to charge subjects in the DOJ textbook guidelines.

So if they’re not valid basis to make a charging decision, why are they in his report?

Because it’s a conservative hit job, full stop.

Merrick Garland has given far too much leeway in the name of “both sides” bias in an effort to seem impartial. Oversight should have cleaned up this report before it went public, as these quotes are speculative as opposed to reporting findings of fact.

  6. Whatever the result of election I hope Biden takes revenge on this unfair attack on him.

  7. I hate this election, I hate it. I’m not a fan of Biden’s but this just bums me out.

I don’t see how the primary process can continue to exist in its present form when it leads to matchups like this

  8. A dead, diseased, corrupt rat. Hur is a lawyer; he was charged with investigating a legal matter. He is patently unqualified to offer public diagnoses on someone’s cognitive abilities or physical health. Trained medical doctors and professional psychologists are expressly and exclusively qualified to make such assessments. No reasonable person would give a flying fuck about a hack lawyer’s “diagnoses.” What a POS.

  9. If Dems want to dispute the conclusion that Biden has memory problems, that’s fine…

in that case, Biden deliberately and illegally stored and shared classified documents, making him a criminal. If his memory is perfect, then he committed a crime.

  10. Either he forgot the documents were classified, or he committed a crime. Biden should be thankful they gave him a pass for his old age.

  11. This is some drama about some bullshit. Republican got no evidence against Democratic President but make some cracks about his age. I would not bother reading this story. Politico is the dreckiest.

  12. It wasn’t an independent special counsel report. It was a hit job. The report was basically a bunch of inconsequential irrelevant digs on Biden and pot shots at his deceased son, Beau. IAAL and I am shocked how poorly written this report is.

  13. Merrick Garland has to go. He could have redacted or excised the partisan bits that had nothing to do with handling of classified documents.

  14. Republicans are grasping at straws. Their “invasion” at the border fell apart when the trump convoy discovered there wasn’t a crisis at the border. Now they are desperate to find something that trump can run on.

….because it sure as shit isn’t ideas.

  15. At least Hur has a doctorate in cognitive assessments. Oh wait, no. He’s just a Trump appointee returning the favor.

  16. F*king a la James Comey all over again. Hopefully people aren’t stupid to make the same mistake all over again 🤞

  17. I think one of two things is true. Either Hur is actually right in his assessment, or it is a conservative hit job that Merrick Garland enabled. Neither are a good look for Biden. If there is a rat, either it’s Hur and Garland had a bruh moment in choosing him, or it’s Garland and he knew what he was doing choosing a Republican.

  18. Someone leaked that Biden is old and has memory problems. This will be easy to solve… /s

  19. Apparently Hur’s second job is a dr if he can diagnose cognitive decline. Smh

  20. The whole narrative should be Prez Biden took classified documents, but didn’t do anything with them.
As opposed to Ex prez Trump who took classified documents and was willing to sell to foreign agents for a profit after becoming a loser, I mean private citizen.
