Bernie’s opposition to Israel/US arms agreements well predates Netanyahu. By decades. And those decades include when Israel tried land for peace, a Palestinian state with assurances… basically things that when Israel tried their leaders were assassinated, they got no peace for land, leaving Gaza wasn’t enough, ad nauseum.
I don’t know if Sanders is an anti-semite but he’s clearly opposed to Israel as a country and his track record on Arab Palestinians is remarkably devoid of success encouraging neighboring Arab countries to help Arab Palestinians.
Good to see him standing strong on military funding. This makes up for his long silence (not sure if and when it ended) on refusing to endorse a Gaza cease-fire.
I think even diehard war hawks are soon going to grow tired of this war dragging on.

I was disappointed when he wouldn’t come out and call for a ceasefire, but I’m glad to see he still has more of backbone than basially any other senator.

As usual, I’m in total agreement with the Bern. It still boggles my mind that there’s a politician out there that consistently seems to see things the same way I do.
The Dems co-opt the messaging on something objectively good, water it down and means test it until it becomes the standard gruel of “More money for people who already have all the money”, and then the Republicans continue to pretend that it’s gay commie socialism so that the Dems can say “Welp, we should compromise and move to the right on the issue so we can get political capital and *clap* get *clap* things *clap* passed *clap.*”
I need to take a moment to remind you all that we could have had a Bernie Presidency.

Hands down my favorite elected official in our nation.
It’s not even a war machine, it’s a war crime machine. They’re killing civilians including many children, aid workers and their families including many children, and their own Israeli hostages. It’s an absolute humanitarian disaster and the Israeli government did it on purpose out of rage and geopolitical greed. They deserve zero support, and furthermore they deserve consequences on the global stage. Dispicable.

I voted for Obama. I voted for Biden. I am not going to vote for anyone supporting this genocide or taking AIPAC money. A leader must have principles and values above all else. Our country must be an example to the world. Decisions should made based on what is best for Americans and humanity. If we expect our leaders to have principles, then we must have principles. It should be the other way around but greed and corruption have taken over.

Our tax dollars shouldn’t be going to prop up other countries. Israel has universal healthcare. WE, Americans don’t even have that.

Netty is a psycho who learned nothing from the mistakes the US made on 9/11. Mistakes that subsequently created more terrrists when our troops invaded and people felt…. how you might feel when people invade your country. What they’re doing is not the way. Palestine is still 50% children.
The only reason he’s for this as without American support Israel has no reason to mollify its approach to the war. Very clever.
This man is such a fool, it’s beyond embarrassing. He’s been suggesting a premature ceasefire, before Hamas military capabilities are dismantled to a sufficient extent that ensures they are not coming back (Israel set a goal of eradicating 90% of the force, and they are currently at 70%). His suggestion would essentially mean that Hamas remains in power and consequently the war will go on for years with MANY more Palestinian casualties. How stupid is that?
When you have cancer, you fight it with all your might for a better future. If you try to “live with the cancer” to avoid pain in the short term, you’ll end up succumbing to it.
Bibi is a new lesson of what can happen in the US if we are stupid and allow our far right to take power. The old lesson was Hitler. History is sickly ironic, no?
