My Dad was an attorney at law and was admitted before SCOTUS. Dad loved the law and did his best to instill at least a bit of that love of law in me. I have read the constitution many times and carry a copy with me on my phone. I think I am well educated and I can read and understand the English language well enough to make informed decisions with due consideration to the ramifications of my decision. I know I am not the only one who is dismayed at the direction SCOTUS appears to be leaning in this decision.

It has made it very clear that the institution is flawed beyond belief and its functioning depends solely on the good faith of the justices. Because of this, it will never be the same without reform regardless of who is serving. The fundamental flaws of the institution will always be lurking there in the shadows waiting for the wrong configuration of justices to be seated.

I’d really like to hear from the 80 million or so people who are eligible to vote but didn’t in 2020 how they feel about this. I’m independent but believe that CO followed their state constitution. They have lifetime appointments and the case loads are so light right now that their docket could use some filling out
