  2. This is a shocking result. The military is one of the most revered institutions in Pakistan. They did everything they could to make sure he wouldn’t win. This shows how low the military has fallen in people’s eyes. This is very significant.

  3. The real reason it’s shocking is that the election rigging by the other parties and the army failed to bring PTI down even to 2nd place. The popularity of IK in Pakistan is immense. Both other major parties have decades and generations of corrupt legacies and the public isn’t taking it anymore.
