There is a small community of Gazans in Luxembourg with family stuck in Gaza.
Luxembourg has tried to evacuate 0 individuals. This seems to be connected to the fact that these family members don’t have luxembourg passports nor luxembourg visas.
None of the Gazans in Luxembourg have been able to get Immigration to issue family reunification authorisations:
• parents and siblings are extremely hard to impossible for Gazans to get family reunification for
• asylum seekers who haven’t been recognised as refugees have no right to family reunification, not even with their spouse and/or children.
They have put a petition in place as one of the means of political pressure. With the awareness it has no legal value through this platform, any symbolic signature I believe can help to get their families to safety.
