3. Asylum seeker? More like insane asylum seeker. Moral to this story: Don’t bring an axe to a gunfight.

9. Yes this is bad. There are immigrants with mental health issues that are not properly screened and either treated or rejected. However most immigrants are useful, peaceful, and willing to live an honest life and contributing to our society. Unemployment is at its lowest point, who else than immigrants are willing to work as janitors for 2k CHF a month? Same goes for construction, and it is even worse in agriculture.

   There is a huge worldwide media coverage for these events… they happen perhaps once a year, or twice in Switzerland. On the other end, no one speaks about the fact that a woman is being killed once a week in Switzerland by a man… just because violence against women is ok. Heck, we even managed to put a guy with such a background in our parliament. Guess what, this guy is member of our far right anti-immigrants party.

   Switzerland is a country of immigrants, it has always been. About 1/3 of Swiss citizens have more than 1 passports. I am CH citizen only, as were my parents and my grand parents… but at my great grand parents level, some were coming from France, Italy and Germany. My wife’s mother came from Brazil 40 years ago to work as a nurse. Did you know that the small Switzerland is the country were most French citizens live outside of France? Many happen to have dual citizenship indeed. Blanket statements on immigration being bad is showing that you know and understand nothing on how Switzerland works.

   Credentials, living there, 25 kilometers from were it happened. Spent some time in the USA as an immigrant, sorry, legal alien.
