  1. The Senate is working to pass a $95.3 billion foreign aid bill with assistance for Ukraine and Israel, but it may be days until a final vote as GOP Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky is using arcane and complex chamber rules to slow down the process into the weekend.

The chamber cleared a critical 60-vote threshold to advance the bill on Thursday, and took another procedural vote Friday night. But without an agreement from all 100 senators to speed up the process and swiftly pass the legislation, the Senate is expected to work through the weekend with a final vote next week.

“I think we should stay here as long as it takes,” Paul told CNN’s Manu Raju on Thursday. “If it takes a week or a month, I’ll force them to stay here to discuss why they think the border of Ukraine is more important than the US border.”

On Friday, senators continued negotiating over amendments to the package – how many, what kind and how many votes each one would need to pass.

  2. In addition…..

*Senate Republicans are now divided over the foreign aid package, and some are pushing for amendments to make changes to the bill – including to add measures related to immigration and border policy.*

Didn’t the Republican just shoot down the measures related to immigration and border Policy.. now they want to add some back onto the Bill???

The US is starting to look like some third world dictatorship.

  3. You can always rely on this guy to be on completely the wrong side of just about everything.

  4. paul is running on the fumes of his fathers minor relevance

  5. Would absolutely love to plant my size 14 work boot in his ass.

  6. The Republicans are killing themselves for Putin. Amazing, but probably a good thing for America.

  7. The Republican Party has every flavor of raging cunt. I forgot about this guy amongst all the other cunts.

  8. First of all, I feel obligated to quote the late John McCain each and every time Rand Paul is brought up. So let me get that out of the way: “The Senator from Kentucky is now working for Vladimir Putin.”

Second, imagine being such a miserable cunt that you throw tantrums like this and go out of your way to delay something a couple days longer – not because you have any chance of stopping it, but because you revel in the very act of obstruction and making others as miserable as possible.

    What the fuck, Kentucky?

  9. Russian Rand. Scum.
Serious question, any Republicans who support Ukraine, what the fuck?

  10. It’s not about the border, it’s not about Israel, it’s not about the election, it’s not about the money. Magas simply hate Ukraine. Why do they hate Ukraine? Because their overlord hates Ukraine. Why does trump hate Ukraine? Because in 2019 his fragile ego was damaged by Zelenskyy who refused to give in to his blackmail. Magas can not stand Ukraine’s free spirit, their heroic defense against putin and his murderers, and their desire to create a democratic European state, which has earned them the respect of every decent democratic citizen world wide. The respect of decent people who oppose all the shit that magas stand for. Ukraine makes Maga look like the stinking, fascist, dictator appeasing cockroaches that they are and they hate it. Hence trump and the Magas will never support aid for Ukraine and the US must find a way to get the aid through congress despite the maga opposition. The majority of the US electorate support Ukraine. It must be possible.

  11. The most reliable person to be a turd in the punch bowl every fucking time.

  12. I’m not surprised. I think the best reaction to this type of behavior is to brainstorm our messaging to conservative voters who aren’t set on undermining aid to Ukraine.

  13. The same Rand Paul that was caught funnelling Russian money to Trump campaign, who personally went to Russia in 2018 to deliver Trump’s message to Kremlin, who McCain warned that he is working for Putin and who has used every public chance to side with Russia? That Rand Paul? Geez I’m surprised…

  14. Oh hey, it turns out that Senate Republicans *didn’t* really intend to pass the bill after all.

    *I am so shocked*.

  15. I regret so much supporting his father in 2007. To be fair, we were so tired of Bush Jr even Ron Paul looked good.

  16. “I note the senator from Kentucky leaving the floor without justification or any rationale for the action he has just taken. That is really remarkable — that a senator blocking a treaty that is supported by the overwhelming number, perhaps 98 at least of his colleagues, would come to the floor and object and walk away…The only conclusion you can draw when he walks away is he has no argument to be made.

He has no justification for his objection to having a small nation be part of NATO that is under assault from the Russians. So, I repeat again, the senator from Kentucky is now working for Vladimir Putin.”

  17. as a former libertarian, i hate this dolt. libertarianism is an over-simplified philosophy. ii am thankful i was able to think for myself and break free from that crap.

  18. The same Rand Paul that spent the 4th of July in Russia hand delivering a letter to Putin from his master Trump? Who’da thunk?
