King Charles’ Cancer Diagnosis: What We Know So Far

Last night, Buckingham Palace announced the sad news that King Charles has cancer.

But what do we know so far about the King’s diagnosis?

Although the palace has not revealed the type of cancer, it has been confirmed that His Majesty does not have prostate cancer.

The problem was, however, discovered during his recent treatment for an enlarged prostate at The London Clinic.

During an interview the day after the diagnosis was announced, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said the cancer had been “caught early”.

Charles will begin treatment as an outpatient and will postpone public engagements for the time being.

But he will continue state business and won’t be handing over his constitutional roles as head of state.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are expected to visit the King at Sandringham today.

Prince Harry is also due to fly in from the USA, his office has confirmed.

  24. As a Prostate Cancer survivur I can comment. The King, God Bless Him, almost certainly has an early detected Bladder Cancer, which is highly treatable. Given his excellent general health he will almost certainly make a full recovery.. The key point is it was found nefore any symptoms. That is very good news. God Save Yhe King!
