They can never meet budget obligations they set themselves knowing approx tax revenues. So they have to print it instead, constantly devaluing the money you hold in your pocket or checking account
As long as tax brackets stay the same, revenues should increase. And sure, local and state governments get more sales tax and real estate tax revenues with higher prices. But, governments should also face higher costs too.

No it’s the rich transporting more wealth to themselves. They make you pay more to spend more and when you use debt to pay for things they also get your interest.
