Hello everyone

I could’ve sworn that as a child (\~20 years ago) my mom took me to a Migros restaurant (probably in Biel or Bern) and they had a little corner for children, where we’d sit in a circle and there was a little conveyor belt with sirup, fries, chicken nuggets etc. for us to choose from. All in little Lilibiggs cups and plates.

None of my friends know what I’m talking about, my mom also doesn’t remember and I can’t find anything on the internet. I was hoping someone here remembers something like that? The more I talk about it with people the more I feel like I probably dreamt about it?

Edit: I found it!! Someone somewhere else mentioned Expo 02, so I googled a bit and stumbled upon this article https://www.e-periodica.ch/cntmng?pid=wbw-004:2002:89::1565

If you scroll down you can see a picture of the conveyor belt! Here’s an imgur link of just the picture: https://i.imgur.com/3X4zTiS.png

  1. You can still come to a Japanese restaurant and enjoy the sushi train

  2. Im not from biel or bern but i often used to eat at a migros restaurant with my mom while my dad went grocery shopping. I remember the lilibiggs plates and cups etc but the only conveyor belt i remember, was the one you’d put your serving tray with the used dishes onto

  3. It wasnt a belt that moved it was just like a street of metal bars that you could slide your tablet on. First you got the food (fries and nuggets) and then the sirup, wich you were allowed to refil for free.
