  1. There looks to be a few people standing, was the bus full? I know some operators are being more cautious about allowing more people on than the bus is registered to take.

  2. I commute by bus, and I see this at least once a week.

Tuesday, I was leaving work in North London, I was with a colleague, and there was someone just in front of us. The bus was sat at the stop, door open, and the lady in front started jogging and waved to the bus driver, so we jogged and waved too.

He clocked us, shut the door, and drove off.

    I assume it’s a power thing.

  3. Somtimes it’s a scheduling thing I think.

Busses run to ridiculously tight schedules, so drivers will skip stops becuase they probably get into trouble if they don’t keep to the schedule.

Which is ridiculous being that the point of a bus is to pick up passengers and transport them.

Or if it’s too full then it won’t stop which is reasonable.

  4. London bus drivers are one of the worst kind of people you’ll ever see. I had to pull up and stop in front of a main road and call one out a few weeks back 😡

  5. if the bus was full, or you weren’t clearly signally you wanted the bus then it wouldn’t have stopped. i mean you can always send a complaint if you want, but realistically nothing will happen.

  6. Did you wave at him?

Could also be that the bus is full.

  7. Funnily enough I was on the 19 yesterday and the driver told everyone to get off and get on the bus behind. So we all emptied out and waited there. The next one came about a minute later and completely sailed by and everyone had to get back on the original one

  8. If you zoom in you can see the driver flipping his finger at you… rude.

  9. At least it’s London so there’ll be another bus in 10 mins. I’ve had this happen to me in rural Shropshire when there isn’t another bus for 1-2 hours.

  10. It is “normal” in London…..
    No manner, no soul…..

  11. Did you hail the bus? If you didn’t, he might have assumed you were waiting for a different one, but if it was a “Bus Stop” and not a “Request Stop”, he was stopping as he must but no one wanting to get on or off meant it was very brief.

  12. It happens a lot to me for some reason. I tend to now report it to TfL whenever it happens.

  13. It’s even worse when they make eye contact just before proceeding to drive off

  14. Are you disabled? They tend to avoid picking up disabled people (one drove off with my kids on board once and wouldn’t open the back doors for me)

  15. I’ve recently had to start using the buses to get to the nearest tube station and the people in my house are trying to get me to use other means of transport because it’s quite obvious my mental health has deteriorated since I started using them

  16. I love the 19! Every time I get shit faced in London I look around and there’s a 19 passing by to take me home ❤️

  17. Welcome to the daily life of every other London Bus user😆
