What are these things at the park for? Does anyone actually know?

  1. Parkour!

Seriously though, sometimes just some random shit in the ground can get kids using it in unexpected ways. It will find usage naturally, especially if there are other pieces of equipment around.

Kids imaginations will find a use.

  2. The poles? Put your legs and arms on either side and slide down

  3. I know if they are the same height, they are meant as parallel bars for users of different heights.
However, I have no idea about these ones as the bars aren’t parallel so intrigued to know

  4. A slide – hook your elbows and knees over and slide down. At least that’s how I, a man in his late 30’s uses them when I take my kids to the park

Also this pic messed with my head, at the top of the pic it looks like the highest bar is closer but that one goes in to the ground further away

  5. They’re for playing on in whichever way kids feel they want to.

  6. Hold on to each bar and swing yourself backwards whilst booting your sibling in the face

  7. Well it’s quite obvious, it’s for cracking your head open or breaking your arms.

  8. I used to play on these all the time. You sit to the side and put your legs over one and use the taller one as a backrest. Imagine side saddling a horse, it’s similar

  9. It’s a slide. But you go down sideways, with your arse in the gap.

  10. Ah those actually hold the Earth together. Truth.

  11. They’re for the rap singers. You know them, you’ve seen them. In the shopping centre.

  12. Are you near Burnham train station??? I go to that park all the time

  13. Sit on top of it, let your legs hang over the side and put your hands on the bars, slide down, easy peasy

  14. Grind rails, inner Tony Hawk is coming out from seeing these
