“The Ditch” Articles always look like they just figured out how to use Microsoft Paint.

  1. All their budget goes into sockpuppets these days.

  2. Their money dried up when the new CEO of the web summit said she wasn’t going to allow the company funds continue to be used to further Paddy Cosgrave’s quest for vengeance against anyone who ever looked at him funny.

  3. This sub’s weird negative stance on The Ditch blows my mind given that they’re the only group doing genuine investigative journalism in the country instead of being a mouthpiece for one group or another.

  4. Who cares? They are doing solid investigative journalism that other newspapers won’t – hon the lads

  5. Not surprising considering how expensive it is to do Freedom Of Information requests today.

They probably don’t spend a lot on it and instead put their money into their work and let the results do the PR for them.

Edit: as another user pointed out, if you’re scrolling and you see a quick flash of that green line, then you know exactly who it is. That’s pretty decent brand recognition despite their stuff looking like it was made on MS paint.

That green line attracts A LOT of attention from certain people on this subreddit when it’s posted here too lol

  6. Complaining that they’re funded by Paddy Cosgrave while ignoring who’s funded or owns other media outlets is pretty dense stuff.

  7. I’d like to criticise them for their graphics but they are effective. You see the image when scrolling and you know it’s a ditch article – that’s priceless.

  8. It’s Gen Z graphic design. Don’t get me wrong, I love those kids, but I do not get their style at all. I’m old though, so I’m okay with not being cool.
