I will be downvoted, but for all practical reasons ruins of Avdiivka are surounded.
What we are hearing is that there is a political (Zelensky’s) decision to hold on to the city. For that, he will pay the ultimate price.

This is really the fault of the Ukrainian goverment and it’s people. They made friends with the west and Russia was forced to create a buffer zone. The Ukrainian citizens are pawns and Zelensky and his boys will be rich and grow old in America.

Its Suriyak maps. Not saying its not true but they are often “optimistic” on the behalf of the Russians. I wouldnt let my head implode over this just yet.
I mean is a few hundred meters the war? They will gain and lose… There is essentially entrenchment… mines make it hard to advance… we have an idea of Russian losses, and I’m sure Ukrainians are losing soldiers also. This war could go on for decades at this rate, but Russia is losing what appears to be massive amounts of hardware and the country is failing. Sanctions hopefully continue to impact them. We have to keep supporting Ukraine otherwise he will enslave and murder and entire country and simply “get away with it”.
Republicans are pretty much sub-human to me at this point. Their bullshit self-aggrandizing, self-absorbed contrarian nonsense has legitimately and objectively cost many Ukrainian lives and lost ground, all because they are so embarrassing as specimens that they will kowtow to anything Trump wants. Fuck all of them, if there were any justice in the world they’d be locked up for life with all of their assets seized and repatriated into Ukrainian defense, social programs and rebuilding.
Blame the republicans who gutted our support for Ukraine. They are a threat to the world.
Worth noting that Suriyak is one of the bigger pro-RU sources who is, much like Rybar, beholden to russian authorities to spin a positive narrative so it’s always good to take their information with a good deal of skepticism.

I’m an American and served and fully support Ukraine. That being said I see a lot of Europeans in here saying we should support Ukraine and then I look at what their country contributes and I gotta say why the fuck would I get involved when those European countries are still buying and selling shit to Russia if they wanna be taken seriously. So ya Americans have saved that place twice and are really tired of being shit on and then screamed at for help to be a world like police when we have our own issues at home. And we gave Ukraine billions already. We won’t stop giving but it gets really tiresome listening to how we are always suppose to spend our tax dollars on world problems where is if we focused on Americans we’d be fine. Once again I fully support Ukraine and won’t stop I just wanted you to know what most Americans are split on.
Ukraine faces many issues at the same time. A reduction in ammo and weapons is just one. They also are running out of men to use these weapons.
War on the rocks were saying that Ukraine is so cash strapped that it would struggle to mobilise a half million more men. If that’s true then Ukraine simply is playing for time….attrition Russia and buying rhe best possible terms for a peace.
I think the stakes for Ukraine over the next months are huge and shouldn’t be down played.
Man power, ammo, funding….not a good place to be….
Ukrainians should not sell that much weapons for there own benefit.

Ukraine need 40 Dutch F16 flying over Avdiivka bombing enemy positions to dust, create a huge morale boost for Ukraine and a huge morale dump for Orcs.
We need 90K NATO troops preforming a “military training” in Ukrainian territory.
