please explain to me how that would happen as your political system is confusing
If Democrats wanted Ukraine aid to be passed, their best bet was with McCarthy as speaker – maybe they shouldn’t have all voted to vacate him. McCarthy’s not even in Congress anymore and the chance of aid being passed at this point with Johnson as speaker is slim to none.
So Johnson will keep his job… for now. But why would he put it to the vote anyway? If he believes Trump wins his career is over. Does he have the balls?
