Did special counsel cross the line in bashing Biden’s memory? Even some Republicans think so

  1. Hur crossed every line. An act of gross nastiness. This is what the civil service will look like under Trump. Weaponised and doing Trump’s bidding.

  2. Since there was no chargeable crime, Hur did the best ratfuk he could muster.

    🇺🇸 RIDIN W BIDEN 🇺🇸

  3. Sure he did, he damn well did. Cleared Biden completely then drops a little poison into the report. What was the A.G. thinking in the first place.

  4. maybe it has to be changed in law, but it seems nuts that the special council rules dont require reports to stick to demonstrable evidence in their judgements and avoid characterizations that could be politicized.

  5. “Donald Trump is the most fit and healthy president we’ve ever had!”

“Biden is a forgetful lump of poopie.”

These hacks are partisan as hell and no one should take this shit seriously.

  6. Doesn’t matter to me, I would take Grampa Biden over ANY of the Republican candidates in a heartbeat, that entire party has “left the reservation”

  7. He should be reported to the bar and lose his license to practice. There is no other profession that would tolerate this lack of professionalism, immaturity, and recklessness.

  8. Garland: “Oh, Ohhhh, I just don’t want any trouble. I’ll be hiding under my desk.”

  9. There are Trumpers in the DoJ. They should be monitored closely for compliance to our Constitution and laws (the real laws and Constitution not the one being made over by rigged Court).

  10. Robert Hur did not conduct a physical or mental exam on Biden nor is Robert Hur qualified to do so. If a prosecutor made such a comment during a trial in front of a jury it would be struck from the record by a the Judge. It is purely an unqualified speculative remark. It was irresponsible.

  11. I’m old enough to remember a guy called James Comey doing something similar, or is my memory failing.

  12. Especially since the special counsel had given 100s of dollars to republucan candidates and had appeared inappropriately at Trumps white house.

  13. Hitler surrounded himself with just these kind of people who toady for a possible new Trump administration. William Shirer wrote several books about it, and they read like current day events.

  14. He clearly confused Biden with Trump who can’t remember if it’s Nancy or Nikki, which would be the next World War, or if it’s his ex-wife or the woman he sexually assaulted.

  15. Robert Hur didn’t perform a physical or mental exam on Biden nor is Robert Hur qualified to do so. Commenting on Biden’s “elderly” appearance as a formal matter is way outside the lines. It is purely subjective.

It was only after James Comey was fired and no longer worked for the FBI that he revealed his impressions of Trump. Comey wrote a book and it was established the book reflected Comey’s personal thoughts and nothing more. Nothing formal in a legal setting. In that book Comey commented on the disturbing amount of make-up Trump wore and how distracting his fake tan was.

  16. Who could have seen this Trump appointee being a partisan hack?

Merrick Garland once again proving his naivete.

  17. Robert Hur did it on purpose. He would have been burned at the stake for exonerating Biden of a crime without giving the base chum to gnaw on….

  18. This was a political hit job. Just wait until someone connects the dots and finds out it was pushed by the Trump campaign somehow.

  19. I also found the timing of the release of his report interesting, given what else was happening on Thursday.

  20. This was clearly the play the whole time.

    1) Trump gets caught with classified docs, in deep shit over it. How do we minimize this?

    2) Go after Biden for the same thing, even though he returned documents when prompted, following all precedents for this kind of shit.

    3) Come up with nothing (forgone conclusion since it was a GOP-instigated “investigation”, they never come up with anything)

    4) Say the reason you came up with nothing is that Biden has dementia

    5) Say Trump should now be cleared of his willful attempt to steal classified documents and not return them, because Biden got “away with the same thing” which is horseshit.

  21. During the testimony this guy gives in front of Congress, I hope a Democrat points out how many times Trump said I can’t remember (it was a lot). And then ask this man if, in his “expert” opinion, Trump also has memory problems.

It is fucking insane that the DOJ only does this “no charges but here are all the things bad about this person” thing for Democrats.

  22. Also every day this stays in the headlines it stays in people mind that a DOJ report questioned Biden’s mental acuity. This is all the special counsel wanted.

  23. Jonathan Capehart’s take on this during the PBS Newshour was really good. Basically said that the special counsel is not supposed to editorialize or badmouth a suspect who isn’t charged because they don’t have their time in court to defend themselves.

It was a cheap shot, bad form.

  24. Are we just ignoring the fact that Trump is only three years younger and just as, if not more, mentally incapable?

  25. It’s a matter of perspective. For someone wanting to curry favor with Trump in hopes of getting a sweet appointment if Trump’s elected, then no, no line was crossed.

  26. Biden gets trashed daily for his memory and Trump gets a pass for his bizarre rants obviously showing a severe problem with mental illness. What the frack?

  27. Hur wrote like he was anonymously smearing a burger place on Yelp! for forgetting his fries—but his name is on the report!

He may never pay any price for his lack of professionalism, but the boost he got among some Republicans still has a cost.

  28. Can’t expect much else from a federalist society hack.

  29. And he’s not a doctor, so commenting on anything outside of his professional expertise should not even be of concern. Stay in your lane
