  2. I still think Joselu taking the penalty was the right decision. There’s no win here for Arda. If he scores it would be “well of course he scores it’s a penalty”, and if he misses he’s crucified.

    Joselu missing is still bad for Joselu as he’s fighting for the first 11, but it’s softer on him as he’s won matches for Real.

  3. Forgot to mention: immediately after he took the shot and missed, the referee finished the game. Adra went to Joselu and hugged him.
    It should have been the opposite.

  6. Joselu has every right to take it. He’s a senior player. He’s the number 9. He’s a canterano. It would behoove us for him to be feeling confident. Theres nothing to critique here. Arda will have plenty of time to demonstrate himself. On we go

  8. I don’t think the players care as much about Arda playing or scoring (at the moment) as a section of fans do. 

    He’s barely played yet. I’m not sure I’d want “handed” my first goal like this so early if I were in the same position. Not yet anyway. 

  10. Yea, I was wishing for Arda to take it. Then again, Joselu is chasing numbers and made more sense. Danger is also ‘what if’ Arda misses? In any case, love Tchouameni getting involved like that 👍

  11. Ancelotti has to step in. I like Joselu and really appreciate what he brings to the team, but he has to stop being so selfish when the game is not on the line.

  13. Why would a 18 year old bench player ever take a penalty instead of designated penalty taker. Im also excited about Arda’s future, but this mania is so annoying
