So 2 months ago I received a ton of hate while genuinely asking how a business like Micasa could be surviving in Switzerland, and I got a ton of hateful comments and business lessons by the angry Migros mob.
Well, seems like I do known a little bit more about business than those losers after all?

I was very surprised by the reactions in your original post, people got really upset at a genuine question.
Specially they missed the whole point, telling that it’s better to put the price for a high end gear that will last decades, but a plywood wardrobe made in Estonia is not high gear even if your buy it at 1000+chf haha.
Not all their products where overpriced so, i bought curtains and decoration at reasonable prices but yes the furniture were never in my buying cart.
People want cheap or high end. Not something “in between”.
Honestly it is a wonder that both Migros and Coop can coexist and be such big retailers, while serving one of of the smallest markets in Europe.
That’s Reddit buddy. Only the comments that “seem correct” get upvotes, especially when it comes to specialized and detailed questions that are genuinely smart. Everyone suddenly is an expert, while the true experts either go unnoticed or get heavily downvoted.
i dont think you received a ton of hate. I think you received some hate to wich you answered in a poor way.
But in the same time you were right too, because Micasa is trying to appeal to everyone and its confusing.
In Micasa There is designer stuff, but if i want designer stuff i will look for a design shop in the city, or Batiplus, or Pfister. There is good quality industrial produced stuff but if i want that i will go to livique (Coop)IF i want cheap i rather go to Conforama or maison du monde.
It would be interesting for me to know where people go for for expensive, average or cheap items.
