The rest hours were stringently enforced by the RSA at checkpoints, with drivers facing severe punishment for not abiding by the rules, for safety reasons. Now, it seems, safety takes a back seat .
Clicked in to see people complaining about essential logistics being kept running. Wasn’t disappointed.
Next: Relaxation of seat belt rules to allow drivers to enter and exit trucks quicker.
