The Church must not turn a blind eye to the impact of mass migration on Britain

  1. We separated church and state for a reason. They should *not* be involved in any decisions the government makes, especially migration. They clearly have no clue what they’re doing by helping migrants “convert” to Christianity, with at least two “converts” (praised by friends and associates after the fact for still being upstanding Muslims) having been involved in terrible crimes after having asylum granted.

  2. Matthew 25:40

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”

the Church is taking a stance on migration which recognises the needs of all, the humanity of all, and the worthiness of all. the author of this article seems to have been taken in by the political mindset of a hierarchy of worthiness – that some deserve better than others, that some are entitled to more than others. that mindset is a lie, and the Church itself was corrupted by it for a long time.

this is an issue on which British Christianity has formed a united front – we will not accept nor condone the despicable treatment of migrants, nor will we take any part in the demonisation of them that is so rampant in the media.

loving others is often not practical. it strains on our resources, it creates friction and it places heavy burdens and stresses upon us. the author is correct in pointing out that this is happening currently. however, the point is not to relieve the burdens by becoming apathetic or hateful, but to bear the burdens as best we can, and to find loving solutions so that we may not become crushed under our stresses. the government’s plans seem to be allergic to loving solutions.

the day that the Church turns away migrants from its door is the day that the Church dies.

  3. Don’t worry, the church is doing its part in making sure the worst of them can stay.

  4. -In general, I’d say no-one cares what the church thinks. The church cannot pass or deny a govt led law. Bishpops might join with others in the House of Lords but they can only delay the passage of bill not end it if the govt wants it to go ahead

  5. “Church needs to be more xenophobic,” claim xenophobes

  6. The church is right; we must hold on to our British morality against the right wing filth that are being given a green light by this disgusting Tory government!
