Took this picture just now on the S2 train to Zurich airport. When I entered the train he had his feet up on the other seat, his camera to his right and his backpack across. Train was full and before arriving at HB people were standing around him.

I usually just ask politely if it’s free while I’m already moving into the seat
Unless you didn’t call him out u have nothing to say here dude!
Considering the horror price sbb train has, he deserve multiple seats
you were born with vocal cords and a mouth for a reason, use em! I hate people that occupy multiple seats during rush hour but i hate whiny people who take pictures of strangers because they are too embarassed to talk to them but then procees to shame them online nearly as much
Best I saw was a woman occupying 8 seats:
Shopping bags across 2 seats, backpack across another. 2 Jackets thrown across 4 seats, coffee and food on fold-out table.
I don’t know why the ticket conductors don’t tell them to stop womanspreading.
Not super crowded if there’s only one person in the „isle“.
I really don’t get the issue, aside from you wanting Swiss people to follow your rules.
The picture is not showing how full the train is. And myself, as long as I see in the wagon another empty set of 4 seats, I put my bag in such way to discourage others to seat in front of me. Because there are guys like that who try to seat near me even though there are other areas of fully empty seats, and I hate that avoidable intrusion in my private space. So, unless all sets of seats in the area have already at least one person, I use my bag to say “don’t bother me”.
I wouldn’t put my feet on the other seat, though.
Just go there and sit down. Why are you wasting your time complaining here?
Firstly; from the picture it only looks like maybe 1/4 occupancy so it doesn’t look crowded.
Secondly: if you have a problem tell him. Don’t come crying here because viewing point 1 I see no wrong here.
When I’m using the train I usually use 2 seats, one for me and one for my bag and jacket.
As long as no one complains or goes “isch do no frei?” I won’t do shit. You got a mouth, use it. If you don’t want to talk, signaling works too.
Im more than happy to free up space if space is needed… Just communicate.
If you can’t communicate: pound sand
Typical ragebait post.
This only works for american ppl.
You need a seat? You politely ask for it and he’ll move it.
You sat somewhere else and that empty seat with a bag on it still bothering you and feel like going there to cuss him out and be a Karen about it? Dumbass.
This post tells a lot more about you than it does about him
It’s just a passive-aggresive way of saying: I hate people, please leave me alone
usually the rule is to just go and ask ‘sorry is this spot taken?’ for years, nobody ever said no.
the legs on the chair is more offensive
In Austria for example this is standard, outside of Vienna, almost try to stay alone, also if the train is crowded. The bag is a polite psychological message, stay away from me.
