By a great deal, yeah. It’s people with no responsibility and self reflection who are blaming anyone else, especially the EU, for anything that happened to them, mostly by their poor choices.
Blaming others for your misfortune is much easier than accepting your own faults so when you find someone powerful with same mindset you will believe him and praise him. It’s simple as that.
Most of that is true for Putin supporters everywhere – not just Czech ones.
And it applies to all fascist leaders’ supporters – Okamura, Orban, Jansa, Duterte, Erdogan, Trump, Wilders, Weidel, etc.

So I don’t think I am a Putin supporter but plenty of people already said that about me.
Unfortunately:
– in a loving relationship; never divorced
– Never drank alcohol
– My life situation couldn’t be better
– No one to blame, my life couldn’t be better
– Constantly talking about degradation of society even though my life, friends, family and finance couldn’t be better.
Assholes next door like to say that they are poor, but got two cars, enough money for booze parties every weekend, keeping large dog and renovation of old house. But strangely enough they cannot close the tab at veterinarian for the small dog their bully breed fucked up. They also love to claim covid is a hoax, but after several months of coughing fits they are strangely unable to walk up third floor without wheezing. Also, the male neighbor is married and cheats on his wife with female neighbor.
I think people often wrongly assume everybody who is not pro-Ukrainian is pro-Russian.
What I believe is many of these people are just selfish and don’t care about anyone but themselves. If something bad happened to Russia or Putin, they wouldn’t care or help them either.
Not always. Sometimes they just want to be super fcking edgy, contrarian just for the sake of it or stupid.
Russophiles are obnoxious, but also are some russophobes: the ones who would ban even Russian recipes and orchestra and get triggered from seeing Lada Niva on road.
Even hate should be classy.
There are Putin supporters like that, but lets just say some left-wing progressives are extremely generous with that term and basically use that label as a means to discredit and dismiss the opposition.

but there is a trend of putin supporters being often like that, or some other form of a highly disturbed individual, or extremely uneducated and lacking common critical thinking skills
supporting putin kind of has a prerequisite of either ignoring or agreeing with a lot of the bullshit he spouts, and its only possible to do that for someone who was born in it and its natural for them, someone extremely mentally disturbed, or an uneducated dumb person that doesnt actually “care” about what even HE is saying… they just want to agree with someone that agrees with them
alternatively, someone that knows the truth, but benefits from it in some way
every single person on that list is to be avoided either way
