  1. Great news, can’t wait for this to begin in Glasgow

  2. Oh yeah, the Edinburgh have been building the streets without facilitating for cars, due to delusion that people will choose public transport over owning a car (as if people didn’t want a freedom of movement), ignoring that some households have more than two cars (parents and kids), puts patches of lawn between pavement and a road that serve literally no other purpose than a dog shitter and garbage dump instead of parking spaces (looking at you, Waterfront Broadway!).

And then! when met with an issue of people parking on a pavement due to lack of any parking space and streets being tighter than a camel’s arse in a sandstorm, they introduce a fine.

    Classic.

  3. I imagine the fines will fall off as people become familiar with this.

  4. Something that bothers the shit out me, just as much as cars blocking the pavement, is when council bin lorries just dump collected bins right in the middle of the pavement. I’m not asking them to put them back halfway up driveways but ffs man at least put them back up again the property line where they’ve been collected. I walk my kids about a mile to school in the morning and every week I’m force to walk at least half of it on a main road while the youngest is in a pram. So aye, bring it to Glasgow, but obstructing the pavement while anything should be addressed.
