Our lawn generally looks like sh*t, but every February it explodes in snowdrops and makes up for the other 11/12ths of the time.

Do you mean: How do I get rid of the weeds in my snowdrop bed?
That looks amazing and I am very jealous of you! We have *one* snowdrop. And it has finished now.
Thats very cool.
Beautiful!
Maybe try planting a clover lawn? It will die back a bit in winter but seeing as you have so many snowdrops that shouldn’t be too much of a gap issue, and then you won’t have to mow it in summer and can let the snowdrop leaves remain which will give them more energy for the next year?
Get clover seeds and apply them liberally. They should out compete other weeds, provide a glorious green cover, put nutrients back into the soil and provide plenty of food for bees and other pollinators.
A lawn left alone is a meadow. Just view it as a meadow and the messiness will make sense.
