  8. You’re not cruel people, I’ve met pleasant Russians, let’s not get blindly xenophobic.

    Your governments and the publics allowance to be fooled every generation into believing top-down politics is good is what’s cruel, especially self-cruel. The Russian people deserve better representation and better joining into the rest of global society. The directions that russian government pushes its people are wrong ones, as well as the words spoken by state-propaganda.

    The West isn’t out for your blood, we don’t want russian lands, we don’t want to shorten your *natural* borders, only expansionism into already spoken-for lands. People are scared of your government and it drives a wedge. A wedge no one *actually* wants. I dream of a future where Russia and the USA can align with like-minded democracy and really achieve some great things. The post-cold war era was a tiny taste… And we accomplished so much. All we see is Ukrainians getting displaced and killed, and naturally that upsets people. We hate fascism just as much….. But you fail to see how that’s what your government is right now.

    You deserve better than Putin. You deserve proper recognition for the sacrifices the common russian has made for their motherland, instead of conforming to the trend of sacrifice. Every russian mother deserves to have their sons stay alive, just as much as any Ukrainian deserves life.

    Family > War.
    Unfortunately the modern russian regime makes the russian people incompatible with what my wishes and dreams are. For now.
