  1. how terrible they will have to use a stofzuiger just like every other time they clean the train

i really don’t get why this sub is so dominated by people who hate fun

  2. Sell the NMBS your piss it’s probably sour enough to clean graffiti off the trains.

  3. Before I opened the picture, I thought it was going to be puke. Even if they don’t clean this up, what’s going to happen?

  4. Carnaval is pretty much the opposite of classy, so maybe that’s the wrong slogan. It’s 25 years ago I was there, so forgive me my Oilsjters, but I think “doe ne kier a devoeiren en ropt aane konfetti op” will be better understood

  5. Carnaval is the opposite of classy. To each their own but i avoid it at all costs

  6. Bruh this is once a year. Some paper on the floor. Take some trains that use the Brussel-zuid – centraal – noord – track

  7. Unfortunately, we’re gradually losing our civic sense.

This is what we usually see in the streets of Brussels or Charleroi. When I witness such behaviour anywhere else in Belgium, I’m highly disappointed.

  8. I celebrate carnaval as well btw but i wouldn’t trash some random train. It’s different from a city that prepares to have the streets flooded with trash and has dedicated cleaning crews set up afterwards.

People seem to think that i’m opposed to carnaval. I’m just opposed to making other people’s job shittier and people wonder why the NMBS has staff shortages.

  9. Damn, if only there was some kind of machinery that could suck all of this fast and without much efforts… Alas the poor soul who will have to clean it will need to pick them up one by one

  10. Honestly i dont mind this at all, our culture being celebrated. Sure it is a bit shitty that it is such a mess, I agree. At least this isn’t harassing others or beating people up etc.

  11. Don’t blame Aalstenaars for this, they don’t take the train to Carnaval since they already live there. Unfortunately, this is another confirmation of the often heard cliché that it’s visitors from outside of Aalst who refuse to conduct themselves in a proper manner.

Yes, Oilsjt Carnaval is ‘marginaal’ af but that doesn’t mean that everything goes. Almost every Aalstenaar can tell you that.
