This is a failure of them to not capitalize on the brand. Look, I’m all for people not exploiting their work for $. It’s admirable. But. They left millions upon millions upon millions on the table. They could have made tv shows/games/more movies/commercials but they didn’t. You’ve got to make your own success you can’t wait for people to offer it to you. What they needed is a managers whose sole job it was to merchandise their brand.
