  1. it’s fine, i don’t think we’ll find him roofing or taking the elevator down the mines.

Edit : “But I guess if you put a Gilliam child in as your manager you should not be so surprised. One Gilliam is bad enough. Two can take out any company” I don’t know, I always kinda thought Terry Gilliam was the most gifted one. Guy sounds like he’s blaming someone else because brits are not wheezing at the ministry of silly walks anymore.

  2. Live within your means and this won’t happen.

  3. I can understand his point if Ms. Gilliam’s financial management is even remotely as disorganized as her dad’s filmmaking.

  4. What work can he do? I know he’s an actor, but does he have any kind of skills or trades experience to work for a living?

  5. The money ran out, and he said

    “Now for something completely different”

  6. Eric Idle was also very ill which is very expensive. Cut the guy some slack.

  7. If you’re 80 years old and have millions in assets, work and money are not your problem.

  8. I think this was meant to be taken as a joke. The residuals from Spamalot alone would cover a lifetime of Crab-scented toilette requisites…

  9. ‘That movie I spent a couple months making 20 years ago isn’t still bringing enough money in not to have to work at all’ maaan, that is awful, the horror

  10. Everybody needs to be able to budget their money – even multi-millionaires.

  11. He’s done such great work in his life. Wish the MP money had been better. I love that guy.

  12. Rich dude complaining he has to live like us common folk. I have like $5 to my name. Welcome to the club buddy

  13. This is a failure of them to not capitalize on the brand. Look, I’m all for people not exploiting their work for $. It’s admirable. But. They left millions upon millions upon millions on the table. They could have made tv shows/games/more movies/commercials but they didn’t. You’ve got to make your own success you can’t wait for people to offer it to you. What they needed is a managers whose sole job it was to merchandise their brand.
