Allezy c’este c’est impressionnant quand on voit la grille tarifaire la différence entre un SUV et une voiture d classique c’est vraiment impressionnant mais en même temps encore une fois est-ce qu’on a besoin d’avoir un SUV à parisah les finances c’est que ça va revenir à à peu près 200

€ journée enfin j’ai pas les tarifs en tête mais c’est extrêmement cher donc on invite les parisiennes et les Parisiens à envoyer un message clair aussi au constructeurs arrêtez de construire des véhicule aussi lourd aussi imposant aussi polluant à Paris on a besoin de mieux partager cet espace public

In a public survey conducted in Paris, a majority supported a significant rise in parking fees for SUVs. From September, city visitors pay triple if their vehicle weighs over 1.6 tons.

  1. Yesterday, Chinese investors were criticized by the Chinese government for reducing their holdings of stocks! And the short sellers were arrested by Chinese police! We call on the Chinese government to stop manipulating the market!

  2. 1.6 metric tons = 1600 kg = 3500 lb. For comparison, nearly every EV available in North America is heavier than 3500, some much (much!) heavier. Small cars in general are rapidly disappearing. Personally, I would love to see small simple cars making a come back.

  3. It's not just SUV's that weigh that much, plenty of non-SIV's weigh 1.6 tons.

    But i'm sure rich people will be ok, because they will be able to afford to buy another car.

  4. Most of those SUVs are just a symbol of status, no one needs one for city living. So if you want to display your wealth that way we all assume you have enough money to pay for the showoff. Utilitarian small vehicles for business operations better transit and bicycle infrastructure for everyone else.

  5. It would have been better to make it equally more expensive for all cars, not just SUVs. The negative effect on electric cars is unfortunate, but ultimately the number of cars is the real problem.

    The French rely too much on their cars, so cities get crowded with them and leave little space for pedestrians, which makes for unpleasant cities to live in. Alternative transportation modes aren't developed enough compared to some other countries, because "people should just take their car".

    Looking forward to the day public transport alternatives and/or self-driving cars are sufficiently developed that it no longer makes sense to have our own car. Or if we do we can tell to park itself outside the city and cole back when it's needed.

  6. Will not change a thing. If you drive one of these monsters into Paris, you most likely belong to this particular group of people that don't even get a change in pulse when the bill says 54 EUR. And besides what to do with that extra money to solve the problem? Exactly.

  7. 6% turnout? Local political voting is very very important because it affects your everyday life. I don’t understand why more people don’t vote

  8. Super 😊. Ça va faire réfléchir d'autres grandes villes. C'est une aberration de voir ces monstres, SUV, 4×4, pickup circuler avec souvent une seule personne à bord. Empêcher les petites voitures, même thermiques avec des ZBE ou LZE car elles sont euro 4 ou 5 et laisser circuler les tanks (qui au km, consomment 2 à 3 X plus en ville) était une ineptie et une injustice totale. En plus des ressources gaspillées, ces véhicules plus lourds, plus hauts sont des dangers publics pour les autres voitures, les cyclistes, piétons,… Ces constructeurs ont complètement oublié la classe moyenne qui ne peut pas se payer de VE même en cas de nécessité. Ici à Bxls, dans beaucoup de rues, ces monstres ne savent plus se croiser ! A quelle connerie on en est arrivé !

  9. Voter turn out of just under 6%? In principle the question might well be valid, but should we be legitimising elections with a turnout that low?
