    Real Madrid have established a new recruitment policy in the club under which no player will be bought if they do not check one of these 3 core rules:

    1. Player is straight up generational and THE best upcoming talent of his generation for the position. (Bellingham, Tchouameni, Camavinga, Endrick, Vini, etc).

    2. Player is world class and available for a free transfer. (Rudiger, Alaba)

    3. Player is coming back from loan, ex-academy graduate, cheap buyback. (Fran, Brahim, Joselu)

    If a player does not fulfill any one of these 3 core ideologies then Real Madrid will not buy them no matter what.

    This is why club is only seeking for these talents for the summer 2025 transfer window, a lot of meticulous planning goes for each transfer and do not expect any surprises. This is Real Madrid, every player they choose to court, joins them so the club simply does not create alternatives, you can’t be one of the best in the world, you have to be THE best talent:

    PLAN A:

    – Mbappe: Fits the (1) AND (2) both rule.
    – Yoro: Fits the (1) rule.
    – Davies: Fits the (1) rule and partially the (2) role considering he is on last year of contract.

    PLAN B:

    – Endrick: Fits the (1) rule.
    – Rafa Marin: Fits the (3) rule.
    – Miguel: Fits the (3) rule.

    And this is why Yan Couto is getting side tracked, unless he is available for very very cheap, Madrid will not buy him. Also if Mbappe rejects once more, Madrid will again not buy any striker and start courting Haaland for 2025/2026 with Endrick as back-up.

    But what Real Madrid won’t do is buy 2nd best/3rd best/5th best, etc talents and be stuck with them. Its really either their way or the highway.

    Only the best of the best in the generation are being allowed at the club and if not, they will go for cheap temporary option and go again for the best in the world in subsequent windows. But the best is only allowed.

  6. That’s actually good. It’s better to have a strategy and rely on it instead of just panic buying players so no one else does for the sake of it. They have plans in place. Barca had the opposite to this strategy in which they bought players based on hype and no real value (Dembele) or got some old players they spent money on based on name recognition and panic buying without taking into account how they fit the system or their core strategy (Griezmann Lewandowsky Coutinho), so they’re where they are now.

  8. I hope that we get another CB, the desired LB (Alphonso) and the expected 9. Because we do have many spots covered already. How about RB? Are we covered there? Dani is doing great this season but is he fully covering the position?

  11. I don’t get your logic for Plan A / Plan B. Endrick is Plan B and he’s already signed. ELI5 or only bad logic from your side?
