  1. It’s so stupid on CBS’s part. They go out of their way to introduce these interpreters and then don’t show them on TV? Just put them in a PIP box like any other country would.

  2. This raises a question for me: which is the more intelligible for the most number of deaf people watching the game: ASL or CC?

  3. What is really shocking is that Apple, a company that touts how accessible they are, did not insist more shots of the interpreters.

  4. I thought it was weird that they made a point to announce the ASL interpreter and then immediately cut away and never showed him again.

  5. I made the same comment. They’re amazing to watch, even if I don’t understand or need them.

  6. When a BL calls out CBS about ASL, you should STFU and listen.

  7. Do deaf people actually find asl performances of the national anthem useful? Like, by now they probably know the words.

  8. Im a fan. Marlee Matlin has at least 40 years experience in entertainment. I’d believe absolutely disappointed or absolutely disgusted. Shocked?!? Please – It’s all about entertainment dollars. Ita always about entertainment dollars. The superbowl was played in one of gambling’s most sacred cities. The brief glimpse we got indicating there was a ASL interpreter was a poignant as the NFL touching on bullying. I’m glad they did it. but, it was all about money.

  9. So is the ASL equivalent of “I Am Absolutely Shicked” just jazz hands?

  10. A.) Do they normally?
B.) Making sure literally everyone is represented to appease everyone’s feelings is exhausting.
C.) How long are we going to keep this up?
