Why is it the countries and states with a constant stream of pedophile scandals that are trying to ban adult porn or make it harder to access?
The sponsor of this video is …
we shall protect people from harmful content by making the harmful content easier to access than the legal shit lol
If I remember right this was brought up around David Cameron’s tenure.
Also I recommended investing in a VPN demand is gonna skyrocket. (Do not take financial advice from me)
I’m British, work in schools, manage web filters every day of my life and I can categorically guarantee you that none of this will stop anyone getting to somewhere where they can view porn.
What it *WILL* do is push people into underground porn black markets, which is really NOT what you want to do because there’s far worse stuff there than you ever want anyone to even witness. And it’s all unregulated.
Sorry, but this is a nonsense that will be forgotten about faster than Liz Truss being PM. It’s an outgoing government throwing a bone to the old people to try to get them to vote for them again. Nobody under the age is 60 is ever going to give a shit about other people watching porn, and similarly nobody under the age of 60 actually thinks this is at all a viable or effective system. It’s just so they can tell grandad “Hey, we’re gonna stop those damn kids getting on the porn” and he’ll believe them only long enough to vote.

Do want to point out this law is such a unworkable mess that is likely to collapse under its own weight and be delayed over and over again.
this feels very much like slipery slope on internet privacy, some time in foture we might see this shit start to affect non porn sites
You got a loicense for that, mate?
Yeah I don’t think this will stop anything… You can find porn literally everywhere on the internet
UK Gov just pushing people towards tor/tails and the dark web where far more disturbing things can be found without even really looking.
> Helping to promote age checks as a silver bullet are the tech companies selling the solutions. The age verification industry is largely happy with Ofcom’s new guidance, says Iain Corby, executive director of industry body the Age Verification Providers Association (AVPA).
> It helped that the Ofcom official in charge of writing the guidance for porn sites had previously worked in the age verification industry and undertaken a secondment with AVPA. “I like to think I taught him everything he knows,” quips Corby.
Hmm.
Reminds me of the joke that if they took all the porn off the internet all you’d be left with is a website called BringBackPorn.com
Non porn site porn sites:
So what if you don’t have a passport?
The verification service sounds like the most absurdly juicy target for a hacker. While perhaps slightly less unseemly than the Ashley Madison breach in terms of implications, the fact that every entry is tied to a verifiable ID offers some serious blackmail potential.
Me, a brit, reading this in arguably one of the best porn sites on the Internet.
Can’t wait for the leaked data contains peoples passports and their porn viewing habits
# Oi, gotta loicence fa them Brazzers, ya cheeky wanka?
I’ll just wank on Naked Attraction on Channel4, it does bot require any identification
Yeah, right. Welcome back dear .torrent
How will it affect apps like reddit? Will UK accounts just be blocked from allowing NSFW posts until they verify or what? Currently I know phone Data blocks adult sites, but you can still access adult subs on Reddit, so will they ignore in-app stuff like that or are they going to end up blocking everything that’s considered adult even if it’s not the main attraction (or even the type of adult, plenty of NSFW subs aren’t porn at all).
Will the government also need to confirm their age when accessing my tax returns?
Cause I am tired of getting screwed from them too!
Soon: Want to access the internet? Get your passport ready.

Did you talk something negative about our mods? Oh look, your credit score is on the negative.
The annoying thing about this legislation isnt that it will decrease access… because anyone with half a brain knows that everyone will be able to find a workaround within about 2 minutes (nary as much of a determined mind as a bloke looking to rub one out)… no… the annoying thing is that this is the sort of stupid, irritating, quality of life reducing legislation that no party will ever seek to repeal. Insubstantial enough for it not to be a key issue, but still too loaded a topic to want to willingly appear to repeal ‘safeguards’.
You can just imagine it. Labour attempting to repeal it, mostly on the grounds of it just being shite legislation. Then the Tories and their client media whipping up a shitstorm about “LaBOuR wAnTS tO ExPOsE yOuR kIDs tO pOrN!!!”
Religion & politics don’t mix 🙈

OK, first off, where is this seemingly synchronized push coming from? UK, Canada, some of USA (most notably Texas) have been really pushing this lately?
Second, I wonder if it will have an unexpected effect? Whoever is pushing for this seems to think that everyone will run and hide rather than reveal that they watch porn. But what if the opposite is true? What if people just run out of f***s to give, and just go for it anyway? It’ll be virtually impossible to blackmail people in everyone knows, without a shadow of a doubt, that almost everyone else is also doing it.
Essentially what I’m saying is, what if instead of suppressing porn, all these measures will instead just push porn into mainstream acceptance? That would be pretty hilarious.
I’m old enough now so that this doesn’t bother me, I can always go back to Sears catalogues, like in the good old days.
Submit a photo to AI scanning tech? Yeah, so people will just use someone’s face from Facebook, Insta, googling an adults face, etc.
Every hotel you stay in takes a scan of your passport. Aspiring hotel desk clerks will have a booming business selling UK passport scans for people to supply to folks who want to get past the ID gates.
