I was told by an HMP officer once that prisons are for rehabilitation not punishment… Is that true?

Honestly, bring back the death penalty for pieces of shit like this. I do not care what anyone says, you cannot change or “reform” these kinds of freaks of nature. It isn’t a normal human trait to want to rape someone, he will do it again when he gets released, or worse. That goes for pedophiles top, get rid of the lot of them – frees up space in the prisons and gets rid of the scum that shouldn’t be breathing the same air as us.
