I’m no historian, but I feel that the Moscow Patriarchate’s total submission to Kremlin in endorsing a war of aggression against a state that’s not only Orthodox, but Russian Orthodox in no small part, is something unprecedented in history of Christianity.

That’s one more reason why the hangover after this ill-advised escapade that Russian society will face will be nothing short of legendary.
