‘Hawkes, who is already a registered sex offender, has previous convictions for sexual offences, which include two instances in the past year where he stripped naked in public.’ Well sending unsolicited D pics isn’t a shock.
“Cyber flashing”…seriously??
I understand if they’re underage, but does the block button not work for adults anymore?
The article said the law came into being in October but that the CPS only brought in new powers to prosecute 2 weeks ago. Does this mean this guy sent images in the last two weeks?
How does he also get their number? Why would a 39 year old man have the number of a teenage girl?
I really don’t understand dick pics, nobody wants to see that
I really don’t understand these people. I find it difficult enough getting nekkid for the first time with girlfriends. Who the hell does this to kids ffs.
I’ve seen a lot of men before defending their choices to send unsolicited dick pics. It’s gross. Unless someone asks to see your genitals, do not send them, provided you are above the age of consent and in sound mind.
But yeah I’m glad this law is in place as I remember being like 14 on Twitter and some random I didn’t even know sent me a picture in my direct messages.
Unsolicited dick pics should be treated in the same way as flashing, regardless of the age of the victim because that’s what it is.
I’m a guy and I can’t imagine having to deal with that at all, let alone often.
Soo even tho you put in a new law does that mean before we where allowed to flash children online like as once again it’s just proving that our country is run by melts 99% sure the current laws around child abuse where enough to arrest them for being a nonce
The purpose of the “Online Safety Act” is to control online speech.
Its only a matter of time until they come for reddit and 4chan posts
