Unions are the answer

  1. Being a union member made my life better. I hear a lot of guys bitch about “taking care of the shit bags”. I always say, “well, fire those guys, take a pay cut, and give that money to the owners” those guys usually quickly change their tone pretty quick. Because, they know that’s exactly what happens when we quit taking care of each other. I’d rather take care of the old fat guy that doesn’t do anything than go back to being non-union

  2. The use of the word “contradict” is a distraction from the real issue. For many, that was the threshold. It is just that the threshold is higher than $75,000 today.

ETA: The original study using $75,000 was done in 2010. I add emphasis to my original statement.

  3. No country has ever needed unions more than this capitalist cesspool I love this country but I hate the greed on the corporations behalf and hate the politics behind protecting these giant companies from their employees organizing they don’t pay you enough to live and when they can stab you in the back with their retail pricing. They bank on the fact that. It only are you too tired to meet with fellow employees to discuss concessions from them but also that you can’t meet up because of that second and third job you have to have to make ends meet. The wealthy (the only people who have consistently done well over the past 30 yrs) all make money through investment and when employees organize and ask for higher wages and benefits this effects thete bott line. That’s why there is so much political division out there it is largely perpetuated by the wealthy to keep us from uniting. Working class
People should put their supposed differences aside and unite under one political party and move through legislation that helps our bottom line

  4. California is going broke paying it’s unionized public sector workers. We’re a trillion dollars in the hole. We can’t tax our way out of this.

We have more than 10,000 public sector millionaires getting six figure pensions. We have some making a million dollars a year, with a COLA, for the rest of thier lives.
