I was/am a huge The White Stripes fan, and had collected many of the early vault series. I visited Nashville when in America primarily to see the store, and got to see Jack at a small Black Belles show. But at some point it all got a little bit exhausting didn’t it?
I figured if any record store in London would want to take the lot, it would be this one. The store kinda made me a bit sad, I think t’s general slickness of that area in London. “We don’t buy second hand records” the worker said which seems a shame, but not their decision. What made me laugh was then telling me in a condescending tone “don’t sell them for more than their worth”.
