> A woman has been arrested in connection with a suspected double XL Bully attack that left a woman injured and her dog, a two-year-old mini-Schnauzer, dead. Derbyshire police arrested a woman on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug, possession of a Class B drug, possession of a Class C drug and committing an act/series of acts with intent to pervert the course of justice.
Gotta catch ‘em all!

But the owners of Bully XL’s keep professing to being upstanding members of the community … maybe she’s a teacher though, what with the Class A, Class B and Class C substances on her.
It’s scary. I saw a Facebook post just yesterday of someone claiming their “friends” dog had “accidental” puppies and they don’t know what to do. They included the father dogs breed just to casually let anyone still interested know what’s on offer. This morning I saw someone asking if she should take hers off the exemption list because the dog is just under and they can make money breeding her. Another breeder was advising her on what to do. People are reckless and don’t care how dangerous or irresponsible they’re being with these dogs. They don’t care about how many deaths and suffering they’re directly causing. They don’t even care about their own dogs seen as they’re willing to risk their lives to make some quick cash.
Again?? 🙁
This muzzle and neuter law clearly isn’t working as the idiots who own these dogs aren’t heeding it. It’ll be on *them* if in the end these things all have to be destroyed.
What’s scary is that there are other big dog breeds out here that are still legal that a certain sort of person go for.
I stalk one of my evil ex neighbours on Facebook, he’s a typical druggie, woman beating piece of shit with too many kids. He’s recently posting about having to get rid of his cane corso as the kids are terrified of it and one of their cats has run away. But it’s got “a heart of gold” , of course.
Do you think they notice that there are less of them about and are on to us wanting to eradicate them?
When are we going to do something about letting every random cunt buy a dog?
People must see these dogs. Needs to be a £200 reward for reporting them so they can be rounded up.
They could call it “Dob the dog”
Another day another XL bully attack
Fuck the owners. They knew what type of dog they were buying. Just because you can train them doesn’t make it ok. Dangerous breed.
I’m gonna buy a tiger and ‘train it well’ so it doesn’t attack people. It’s still a dangerous tiger
What’s happening? It’s almost every day that there’s a new reporting about this breed attacking some one.
Was there a mass memo to all XL bullies to start a riot?!
Meh, these dogs are banned as of 31/1/24 allegedly but idiots still own them
Disregarding the Bully XL, why are muzzles on large dogs public not mandatory, those are powerful animals and if they decide not to obey the owner there is literally nothing that the owner can do to overpower them?
This story is heartbreaking, no one should have to see their 2 year old pup killed for simply going on a walk.
No shock that this happened in normanton. It’s Derby’s biggest shit hole and is known to be rough as.
It’s simple at this point, you should need a licence to own a dog, and owners should hold full responsibility for their actions. Breeds aside, it’s incompetent idiot owners that are the issue here. Oh and illegal puppy mills and all involved need much harsher punishment.
I love dogs. I’m getting a dog this year.
My neighbour got a dog recently. It’s a huge bully looking thing (I’m not sure if it is or not) it lunges at me through the fence as I walk past. He barks all the time, so I know he’s nearly always outside even at night. Their front garden is one of those tiddly victorian ones with the tiny metal railing. I know for a fact he could get out if he wanted, and he’s not tied down. I’m scared of a dog for the first time in my life, and I feel bad that his life is miserable, just being angry and stressed all the time out in the open.
I already have agoraphobia he is not helping. I think we need better dog laws in general. I’m not eager to be named in one of these headlines
There was one of these buggers in the dog park this morning. Funnily enough there was literally no one else in there, despite it usually being fairly busy.
Just the fact it was in there means my dog didn’t get her morning run around. I turned around and walked straight back out.
Yeah, chances are the one I saw was perfectly fine but you never know.
That poor woman has lost a companion and is probably going to go through quite a lot of psychological trauma now. Absolutely tragic.
Invite all XL Bully owners and their dogs to a rally in London…..then arrest them and deal with the dogs
You obviously wouldn’t get most of them but it would be a start
Feels like weekly at this point I see another XL Bully attack/killing posted on this sub. Is there any point that owners think… is my dog on a countdown before it savages me? I don’t see how you can see so much news about these dogs and as an owner not have the slightest doubt/worry, especially if you have kids.
At this point, you should have to have a dog licence. I hate walking my young child to and from school when those disgusting beasts are roaming around. And of course there’s nothing you can carry that’s legal for self defence.
Just start calling them war dogs. The inability to retain control is likely the best argument against them. Such a shame as the breed really shouldn’t have been bred.
Yet another dog attack. Why not turn the legislation around and only have a list of approved breeds. No getting round breed types by breeding mutants.
Look, I love animals and dogs in particular. But the XL Bully breed is a legitimate danger to other animals and humans. A mass culling might be required under the circumstances.
We need a good story of 1 of these owners being beaten to within an inch of their life by someone who’s dog was attacked by their creature. They might take the rules more seriously then.

While we’re here, important to note [the Kennel Club’s stance on XL Bullies](https://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/media-centre/2023/september/the-kennel-club-and-dog-control-coalition-response-to-changes-to-the-dangerous-dogs-act/).
