Hey there,

I recently got multiple emails from Inkassodata AG claiming that I should pay for something I definetly didn’t buy.

They don’t have my adress only got my email somehow…
Now I get these emails requesting me to pay to some bank account. They say they want to start some dept collection proceedings soon.

Should I be worried?
On one hand I’m not sure if this is even a legal bill (there is no PDF or anything attached, just the email)

There are some steps I can take like challenging the bill on reklamationszentrale.ch, but I can also just ignore it.

I attached the email to the post, every help is apprechiated 🙂

  1. Seems shady to me, these people would probably send you a letter in the mail with a payment slip… I’m not a native German speaker so while I understand the message, I can’t tell if the language in the email seems off/unnatural like a scam would be.

You could always call them (don’t call any numbers in the email or click on any links in the email, just google for the website, then find the contact info there) to see if they do in fact know of you. Ask how much they think you owe them to see if it matches the CHF 865.35 in the email. Maybe they can also tell you more about who they claim you owed money to.
