  1. That should be rejected by Ukraine, rather than the US

  2. Keypoint:

    – *”three Russian sources with knowledge of the discussions told Reuters.”*

    – *”Putin was proposing to freeze the conflict at the current lines and was unwilling to cede any of the Ukrainian territory controlled by Russia”*

    – *”the signal offered what some in the Kremlin saw as the best path towards a peace of some kind”*. [ Kremlin speech for “ah yes, when I cannot murder, torture and rape the entire country, at least 20% of the countries women are enough for my soldiers! How peaceful of me!”]

*”But of course we are not exterminating the Jews”* three Nazi sources with knowledge of the discussions told Reuters. *”Hitler was proposing to freeze the Western conflict at the current lines and was unwilling to cede any of the European territory controlled by the Nazis!”*

  3. Title should be: Putins suggestion to America of Ukraine ceasefire rejected by America because Ukraine was not involved in the discussion.

  4. Good. This war = peace.

Edit: y’all so brainwashed you upvoted ‘War is Peace’. This sub. LOL

  5. You’re right Putler, stop firing and bring back your troops to Russia, they belong there!

  6. Well the U.S rejected the ceasefire because Ukraine was not included. Ukraine has to decide, not the U.S.

  7. He must be losing it. He’s forgotten what country he is at war with.

  8. Has there been a case of lowering IQ for title writers even for large news corps?

There are so many better ways this could have been written

  9. Reuters laundering Russian sources if the United States has the agency in this conflict and Ukraine is a mere puppet.

Ukrainian people and political leaders who have to live with any deal are the ones deciding. And the party in this conflict with the most agency to stop hostilities is the Russian federation, leave Ukrainian soil and stop shooting and I’m sure the will be a sustainable ceasefire.

  10. Do not give Putin time to regroup!

Russia taking massive losses in vehicles, aircraft and troops which they cannot sustain!

Keep up the fight Ukraine and when Russia cannot maintain their offensive ….attack!!!

  11. There is no peace with people like Putin until they are Gaddafied or Mussolini’d, or they do it themselves, a la Hitler. Dictators do not give up power and have to keep on the attack in order to keep that power.

Personally, Im hoping that Putin gets Gaddaffied

  12. Ukraine cannot retreat from its own, internationally recognised borders, full stop.

To all nations who think they are doing enough, unfortunately you are wrong.

We are all looking at a terrorist tyrant who can’t be dealt with in the grown up world.

Please give more whoever you are. 🙂

    Slava Ukrani

  13. This is like the US invading Russian territory and asking Ukraine where they should stop.

  14. “We would like a pause to get our shit together.”
    Fuck you Putler.

  15. He may very well believe there is a solid chance the aid bill passes. Now that he has seemingly lost Orban in the EU, he has already lost political leverage from within one of the two major contributors to Ukraine.

I am very hopeful US aid is passed. More Russians in Ukraine need to be killed.

  16. US denied this ever happening and Ukraine wasn’t F4even involved. Nice job Reuters !

  17. What ironic “no cease fire” “no aid”

    Hands Russia Ukraine

  18. Russia has already been defeated in Ukraine, now the question is if the US will be defeated as well?

Europeans get free health care, months gov. paid vacations all while buying trillions in Russian energy simultaneously laughing at the US for paying for a military to defend them. What do we get?

Europe needs to pay the bill for Europe’s defense. The EU must reimburse the US all cost thus far and agree to pay all further cost. It is the only way to ensure the Europe does not do this again and guarantee American support.

  19. Why the fuck is Reuters reporting anonymous Russian sources as having any credibility

  20. “How about we stop fighting and I still get to keep all the territory that I have stolen?”

  21. I notice Putin. said “Ukraine ceasefire” but not Russian ceasefire.

I also note the article states the U.S. hasn’t spoken with Putin. So Putin must mean when says the “U.S.”, he’s talking about Senators Ron Johnson, J.D. Vance and Rand Paul.

  22. He wants a ceasefire because he has lost the majority of his professional soldiers, is running low on ammo, and has a so-called election coming up. He wants to regroup. A ceasefire is the worst thing that could happen right now.

  23. Putin must be gone before Russia surrenders. Waiting until that happens is fine

  24. The title is wrong. The US told him to talk to Ukraine and that the US won’t pressure them.

  25. No, Reuters, you Putin-dick-sucking idiots. Your headline should be:

**Putin’s attempt to sideline Ukraine rejected by United States**

What is with this compulsion to re-frame everything Putin does so that it sounds much more reasonable than it is?

  26. An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile – hoping it will eat him last. ~ Winston ChurchillAny ceasefire:

    1. Third legalized occupation after Crimea and Donbass. New 2015 year, Obama’s: “Western sanctions had left Russia isolated and its economy in ruins.” New proof that International Law doesn’t work and “WMD-might make right.”
    1. Giving it time to rebuild army and start another, bigger, war. Repeating blunders related to Georgian, Crimean, Donbass occupations. Even under sanctions, in 2022-2023 years, Russia got ~420 billion dollars from trade with EU and NATO countries.
    2. During 2014-2021 years, by indoctrination, “cellars”, poverty, Russia prepare 80 000 cannon fodder that was spent in meat assaults of 2022-2023 years. This time there will be hundreds of thousands of them. Children in the occupied territory, and in Russia too, have been preparing for this for almost 2 years.
    1. New Russia’s attempts to destabilize the West and the World. Even now there was so much new wars (Armenia/Azerbaijan), military coups (Burkina Faso, Niger, Gabon), attacks (Hamas, Yemen Houthi), annexation (Guyana); South Korea, Japan, Poland interest to theirs own WMD; 34% of Taiwanese that see USA as trustworthy country and so on and so on. And there will only be more of them.
    3. As preparation for new war, already by probable alliance with North Korea and already nuclear Iran.
    1. As continuation of unpunished Transnistria, murder of 10-20% Chechens, Georgia, Crimea, Donbass, Salisbury, ~8 attacks on military sites on NATO territory ([www.theins.press/en/politics/266039](http://www.theins.press/en/politics/266039), use of chemical weapons in Syria and destruction of Aleppo, a coup attempt in Montenegro, interference in elections in Western countries, “2021 ultimatum”, destruction of Mariupol (30-80 thousand victims), blowing up the Kakhovka Dam, hundreds of news that are de facto veiled WMD-blackmail, and so on ([www.reddit.com/r/YUROP/comments/18onmh3/russian_attacks_on_europe/](https://www.reddit.com/r/YUROP/comments/18onmh3/russian_attacks_on_europe/)).
    4. New opportunity for Russia once again conveniently violate international agreements, as happened with: UN Charter 1945; Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty 1970; INF Treaty 1988; Helsinki Accords 1975; Belovezha Accords 1991–92; Budapest Memo 1994; The 1997 NATO-Russia Founding Act; Black Sea Fleet Treaty 1997; Friendship Treaty 1998; Treaty on Azov Sea & Kerch Strait 2003; Karkiv pact 2010; Paris Charter 1990; Moldova-Russia treaty 1994; OSCE Istanbul Document 1999; Ukraine-Russia border treaty 2003; Georgia-Russia agreement 2008; Geneva Conventions, and so on.
    5. Demonstration to the whole World that the West, 35-40% of the World economy and 55% of military spending, is a paper tiger. If the West not capable (allocating less than 1% of its weapons stocks – www.statista.com/statistics/1293174/nato-russia-military-comparison/) to protect even European democracy, a victim of serial aggression and ethnocide, that exchanged a third nuclear arsenal for international security guarantees, then whom he can protect?
    1. Big countries will say: “why Russia can carry out effective WMD-blackmail/imperialism, but we can’t?” And will begin trying to replicate Russian success.
    2. ~150 small countries that now without WMD will say: “if International Law doesn’t work on countries that have WMD, then screw it!” and will begin WMD-development. Which will inevitably lead to WMD-proliferation, that is more dangerous than WW3 and nuclear war. The properties of which at least somehow limited by agreements and educated/rational people/agents.

  27. Fixed it: “Putin refuses to include Ukraine in any ceasefire talks.”
