Based on what I’ve seen, he seems more interested in a both sides independent thing than helping to defeat the existential threat that is Trump and his Republican enablers.
I mean if that’s his thing, it’s cool but it’s not really what the country needs.

I used to be the hugest Jon Stewart fan. Even got his face tattooed on my cat. Either way, I have to say something about his nose. What the hell. Did they add half a centimetre to see if any would notice? For a joke like the old Daily show or something? When they put up an old pic of him, you could tell right away. His nose is longer. I was like “I knew something was different!”. I’m serious. His nose is either longer or his head is thinner. Probably just getting older.

Either way, I suspect the writers of this show will never give him the scope to tell the news like before he left. I remember the good ole days, when the daily show could pretty much mock anything. Nothing seemed off limits. They would draw a dick in front of say, the leader of America for split second. While commenting about this or that. You could expect some kind of decent mocking on the political system.
Today is not the same and I now desire, no want, no DEMAND a second interview with Tucker Carlson by Jon Stewart. lolz. I want to see those 2 battle it out again. To see if there is any free speech left.

If he hadn’t quit the daily show, I’m fairly certain Trump would have never been in office. A lot of voting Americans back then were getting their news directly from the Daily Show, and Stewart would have skewered both candidates to hell and back, but only one of them could have taken it.
Smugness, reductionism, and belittling people not agreed with. Jon Stewart was the start of the current toxic America where we talk past each other, I f’n hate him, and we definitely don’t need more of him. He pushed me more right just because I couldn’t stand him and the smug liberals who he validated in their smugness and unwillingness to see two sides.

Not hyperbole, I really hope that Jon Stewart uses this return to spring board a run for political office. This man has the charisma, wit, and at least a decent knowledge in many different areas of government and political issues. He would fit that pissed off everyman that speaks clearly and has a way to connect with everyone who listens, which I think honestly most Americans would love that in a serious political candidate. #Stewart2028

I wonder if the plan all along was to bring him back. Trevor Noah quit and the network was trying out other people for a year. Were they just biding their time and laying the foundation for him to return?
Even now, he won’t do it every day; just Monday. The other days will rotate other people in. Seems kinda lame. There won’t actually be a proper, regular host.
Uhhhh, I think America NEEDS a lot of other things first. But yeah, it’s nice to have Jon’s voice more prominent in public discourse
