Mate, if you have been here for 46 years, you ARE Scottish, you just had bad luck being born somewhere else…. you are one of us…… and you make our wee slice of heaven better by being here….

Seems like comparing apples and oranges.
There was lots of Brexit driven by xenophobia but requiring EU citizens to apply for settlement status was not. The immigration rules were changing – the UK required to now have a formal register of resident EU citizens not holding a British passport to ensure they could still access existing services and re-enter the UK if they ever left.
As an Englishman living porridge side – I cringe at this.
Scottish are people. Not some sort of superior moral race. Enough with the arselicking
How’s does he know? Sturgeon threatened to kick out EU nationals if they won in 2014 and Spain blocked membership.
