  1. Clueless Republican imbeciles indulging in their self defeat

  2. >History will not look kindly on House Republicans for their blatant act of unconstitutional partisanship that has targeted an honorable public servant in order to play petty political games. Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas, a Cuban immigrant who came to the United States with his family as political refugees, has spent more than two decades serving America with integrity in a decorated career in law enforcement and public service. From his time in the Justice Department as a U.S. Attorney to his service as Deputy Secretary and now Secretary of Homeland Security, he has upheld the rule of law faithfully and has demonstrated a deep commitment to the values that make our nation great.

    >This impeachment already failed once on a bipartisan vote. Instead of staging political stunts like this, Republicans with genuine concerns about the border should want Congress to deliver more border resources and stronger border security. Sadly, the same Republicans pushing this baseless impeachment are rejecting bipartisan plans Secretary Mayorkas and others in my administration have worked hard on to strengthen border security at this very moment — reversing from years of their own demands to pass stronger border bills. Giving up on real solutions right when they are needed most in order to play politics is not what the American people expect from their leaders. Congress needs to act to give me, Secretary Mayorkas, and my administration the tools and resources needed to address the situation at the border. The House also needs to pass the Senate’s national security supplemental right away. We will continue pursuing real solutions to the challenges Americans face, and House Republicans have to decide whether to join us to solve the problem or keep playing politics with the border.

  3. I would have referred to it as “impotent revenge” but otherwise I agree

  4. Where’s I expect the managers to present their case why this is stupid and a waste of time and money, it would be absolutely acceptable to just go in and say “we rest our case”, vote, and He goes right back to work.

  5. If republicans cared about border security, they would have voted to fund it.

    Mike Johnson is a hack.

  6. I’m torn. On one hand, I want the senate trial to just be a guilty/not guilty vote. On the other, I want a full on circus…let the impeachment managers flail as they try to justify this. Bring in expert witnesses and character witnesses from both sides, see if they can get “Moses” to juggle bowling pins while riding a unicycle, make the O.J. trial look small by comparison, let Ted Lieu sell popcorn at the entrance to the chamber, make the impeachment managers wear oversized shoes and red noses to be recognized.

  7. Anyone who supports the current republican party is evil. Pure evil.

  8. This is the part where they throw poop everywhere and their base thinks they’re geniuses for it.

  9. Honestly, I hope this gets dragged out. Have every dumbass traitor republican who pushed for this come to the stand, then press them hard on how they utterly failed the American people on border security.

Let this go on for months with every possible configuration of “Republican” and “failure” soaking in the headlines every step of the way.

  10. Thank god they impeached that guy! The border is secure now, right?

    /s

  11. Genuine question, has this House passed a single bill since Johnson became Speaker?

  12. So the House GOP just baselessly impeached a Cuban immigrant for political points. I wonder how that will play in Miami.

  13. Marjorie allegedly is going to be an impeachment manager.

Who is she going to complain to, herself?

  14. The republicans are going to choose to keep playing politics obviously, they don’t have anything else.

  15. Our tax dollars pay these guys?
The Republicans cry for a bill with all their goodies in, and when it came time to vote for it, they shot it down.
And because Republicans didn’t vote for the border bill, they impeach the one guy that’s working to keep the border secure.
Maybe we should shift all those tax dollars from Republicans that aren’t solving problems to those who do.

  16. With their same logic.. shouldn’t all congress lose their jobs if they can’t fund the government?

  17. This feels like it will die in the Senate and then they’ll shake their heads like, “what the hell are the children doing down there?”

  18. If Mayorkas can be impeached for not doing his job to the satisfaction of House Republicans, then every single House Republican who voted for it should be impeached in the next Democrat-controlled session.

  19. As long as Republicans control the House, we can expect impeachments ad nauseam.

  20. * Biden administration has turned away or expelled more migrants than Trump in a shorter amount of time
    * Republicans voted against automatic border closure
    * Republicans are restricting where Border Patrol can operate
    * Republicans are now distracting Homeland Security leadership with this impeachment

so the Repub modus operandi seems to be to simultaneously sabotage/obstruct while concern-trolling about the border, make it seem like only they can solve issues if they only had a majority, with a House that cant pass anything, and a frontrunner with 91 felony indictments. jackasses

  21. These people have all been bought and paid for by powerful interest groups, the Chinese or the Russians or all 3 combined. All traitorous shills. They sold out their country, state, and fellow citizens for their own gain.

At their core, they, conservatives, are disagreeable people. They are the inherently selfish, disagreeable people that we, the agreeable reasonable people, have to live with.

The left, worldwide, need to get into the game. They’re losing the for-profit, media driven, culture battle to the hypocrites.

Now more than ever, the left must refocus the narrative on the class war. That’s what matters most. This shit has to stop. We gotta stand up to the money. There’s more of us than there is of them.

“When the last tree is cut, the last fish is caught, and the last river is polluted; when to breathe the air is sickening, you will realize, too late, that wealth is not in bank accounts and that you can’t eat money.”

  22. Mayorkas can and should wear this as a badge of honor. I would be proud to be rejected by the circus of miscreants and phonies that is the current Republican Party.

  23. Biden and Mayorkas are good people. House Republicans, MAGA, and Trump – not so much.

  24. What good does logic and reason do when you’re fighting a hat and a slogan? Take the goddam gloves off and come out swinging!

  25. I’m still waiting for the GQP to show high crimes and misdemeanors

  26. I bet the consensus among those who don’t even follow US news or politics, are still fully aware all this impeachment stuff against Biden is purely a revenge ploy by the GOP and holds no value other than to try and distract from the Circus that the modern GOP has become.

The guy is 81 years old and has been in politics for 50 years! If something impeachment worthy was there, they would have found it by now. Unlike Trump who anyone with a TV knew was corrupt/dirty going back to the 80s.

  27. The senate should have a full trial with witnesses and use it to destroy the GOP by showing their duplicity.

  28. Here’s the funny thing: just like the overturning of *Roe*, the dog caught the car. They’ve now lost one of their chief grievances. They’re going to see the impeachment fail in the Senate, and they can’t keep sending impeachments to the Senate. *They have no policies to run on, only outrage.* Strategically, they’re morons.
