Several explosions heard in Crimea as it is reported a russian ship(rumoured to be Caesar Kunikov) carrying ammo was blown up. Unconfirmed at time of writing however. A ship and a submarine can be seen heading to assist the stricken vessel.

  1. Hello, is this Mr Caesar Kunikov?? yes the navy commander has just approved your promotion to sub surface fleet……

  2. If so, would be the second of its class destroyed by Ukraine

  3. Bet you at the start of the war everyone in the Russian Navy breathed a sigh of relief. Thanking god they joined the Navy rather than getting conscripted into the army. Didn’t realize that they would be sweating like crazy dodging missiles and drones 6 months later.

  4. >Caesar Kunikov (BDK-64) […] **was** a Project 775 (NATO reporting name: Ropucha-I-class) large landing ship […] of the Russian Navy.

    – Wikipedia, already

  5. Good…I hope it was fully loaded with tanks, ammunition and troops.

    Happy Valentines Day assholes…

  6. Can’t wait to hear that the Submarine has parts of it promoted to helicopter for ten seconds before they wete relegated back to permanent submersible duties.

  7. it would be a shame that some more drones would be waiting for the assist vessels and submarines…

  8. Is it just me or does that logo look like it should be for a canned tuna brand?

  9. Yeah put the watermark directly over the only interesting part of the clip.

  10. I’ve also read some reports about many Ukrainian drones being taken down around/above Crimae. Perhaps that was a diversion of some kind?

  11. A sub? Yum, yum, more ducks for the shooting gallery 🙏

  12. It’s a shame Ukraine didn’t have a boat around to try and hit a sub if it came up for a rescue mission

  13. Do we have the place (approx. coordinates) where the ship has been attacked?

  14. It’s weird that there are still explosions, given that the ship had sunk at night. All I can think of is that given that the water depth is less than 100m in the area (which is less than the length of the ship), maybe the ship sank stern first, rested against the bottom allowing the bow to still float above water, and a fire inside to still burn.

  15. I hope the Ukrainians get their submersible drones fully operational, soon. Imagine the show when the surface drones attack at night and then in the morning the subs start breaking the backs of the rescue vessels that move in to help. There will be many Russian Bill Paxtons screaming “Game over, man!” Kaiten 2.0 will be interesting.
