  1. Just need to set an alarm that goes off every time you cross a county line so you know when to put your mask on, when to take it off, when to switch your regular mask for a medical one, or when you’re not allowed to obscure your face, according to local regulations.

  2. It’s nothing new. There is a lot of international night trains in Europe. The real problem is the quality of the service; it’s either ridiculously expensive or without shower, sleeping in a shared compartment with 5 strangers, in a carriage built in the ’60s.
IMO, we should aim at Finnish VR’s standards: [https://www.vr.fi/en/night-trains](https://www.vr.fi/en/night-trains)

  3. Did you know that right now you can also take a sleeper train between Essen and Dortmund? Two cities that are 30km away. And no, those are not just stops. Those are the start and end stations of that train. [Welcome to Regional Express 11, where due to financial difficulties the dutch-owned operator, Abellio, lost the right to operate trains and replacement services include locomotive-hauled couchette cars](https://twitter.com/hvondelen/status/1483129950555316231?s=20)

  4. Travelling through:

    France – I sleep

    Germany – I sleep

    Austria – I sleep

    Hungary – I sleep

Romania – real shit. Wakes up

  5. Yeah, they can sleep when they enter in Romania because it will take a lot of time to reach their destination.
